MVC Storefront: Progress Report for July

I spent a week in Redmond earlier in the month at the ASP Insiders Summit and wasn't able to get too much work done on the store. There's a lot going on, as you can imagine, and with the next screencast I want to start to tie the application up - at least from the user's perspective.

Making Little Circles
The interesting thing about TDD is that you end up with a lot of great silos of functionality that you feel good about, and a lot less code than you might normally have. You get to a certain point, however, where you have to jettison from the Test project and start to sew the application quilt together.

That’s where I am right now.

The best way I like to think of it is “smithing” the little square application bits into a smooth, rounded process. And it’s very time consuming, as you can imagine.

No, I’m not leaving anything out – I will cover all of what I’m doing here as I think it’s really important in terms of how an application (using TDD) gains its legs. Fret not! I’m recording it all.

A Lot More To Do
The site will have stubs for all the important bits of functionality you’ll need to implement – but I have a lot of stuff ahead of me here! Particularly the Admin site – that’s not easy stuff at all.

The point is: hang tight – the next episode is on its way, hopefully by Friday.
