Highly Recommended: Blood Into Wine with Maynard

I'm a fiend for good documentaries and it's great that you can stream some outstanding ones from Netflix. Last night I watched one that blew me away: Maynard James Keenan (lead singer from Tool) moves to Arizona and begins to create wine. But this isn't about some rock star in a crisis - he's actually leading a wine revolution...

Don't Miss This One

Even if you're not a Tool fan (there's nary a mention of the band at all), watching someone pursue their dream is really inspirational. I think everyone can identify with it - the best part is that he didn't "leave it all behind" - which is completely cliche. Instead he finds time to do both make wine and rip up the stage.

The Production Quality of the film is top-notch: it's highly polished with outstanding cinematography and a refreshing take on "the way documentaries are done". It's stylish, inspiring, and really interesting to see a guy who is a nightmare on stage kicking up dust in the vineyard while spewing snotty-talk about cabernets.
